According to Packaged Facts "kids are most likely to turn to sports as an after school activity". As age increases participation in sports develops; 39% of 4-8th graders participated in after school sports in comparison with lower grades. According to the U.S Kids Market, parents who have children between the ages of 3-13 are more likely to go shopping 36.6% compared to the 31.6% of all U.S adults; 59.6% of parents with children ages 3-12 only go shopping when they need something to buy compared to the 59.5% of all U.S adults (Packaged Facts: 2004).
